৯ জুন, ২০২৫ : চীনের একটি বিমানবাহী রণতরী জাপানের অর্থনৈতিক জলসীমায় ঢুকে পড়েছে বলে জানিয়েছে টোকিও। এরপর তারা ওই এলাকা থেকে বেরিয়ে যুদ্ধবিমান দিয়ে মহড়া চালায়।
জাপানের প্রতিরক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়ের বরাত দিয়ে সোমবার টোকিও থেকে এএফপি জানায়, শনিবার ‘লিয়াওনিং’ নামের বিমানবাহী রণতরীর সঙ্গে ছিল দু’টি ক্ষেপণাস্ত্র বিধ্বংসী জাহাজ ও একটি যুদ্ধের রসদ সরবরাহকারী জাহাজ। রণতরীটি জাপানের সর্বাপেক্ষা পূর্বের দ্বীপ মিনামিতোরির দক্ষিণ-পশ্চিমে প্রায় ৩০০ কিলোমিটার দূর দিয়ে অতিক্রম করে।
জাপানি প্রতিরক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়ের এক মুখপাত্র এএফপি’কে জানায়, এই প্রথম কোনো চীনা রণতরী জাপানের ওই বিশেষ অর্থনৈতিক অঞ্চলে (ইইজেড) প্রবেশ করল। তিনি আরো জানান, চীনের এমন তৎপরতাকে নিজেদের দূরপাল্লার সামরিক সক্ষমতা বাড়ানোর কৌশল বলেই দেখছে জাপান। চিফ ক্যাবিনেট সেক্রেটারি ইয়োশিমাসা হায়াশি জানিয়েছেন এ নিয়ে চীনকে ‘উপযুক্ত বার্তা’ দেওয়া হয়েছে। তবে তা আনুষ্ঠানিক প্রতিবাদ কি না, সে বিষয়ে তিনি কিছু বলেননি। জাপানের প্রতিরক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয় আরো জানায়, চীনের বিমানবাহী রণতরী লিয়াওনিং ও এর সঙ্গে থাকা জাহাজগুলো দেশটির অর্থনৈতিক জলসীমা (ইইজেড) থেকে বের হয়ে যাওয়ার পর, রোববার সেখানেই যুদ্ধবিমান ও হেলিকপ্টার দিয়ে উড্ডয়ন ও অবতরণের মহড়া চালায়। প্রতিরক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয় জানিয়েছে, পরিস্থিতি পর্যবেক্ষণে জাপান ওই এলাকায় নিজেদের যুদ্ধজাহাজ ‘হাগুরো’ মোতায়েন করেছে।(বাসস)
